Liberal History
In the 1930's George Dangerfield wrote a book entitled The Strange Death of Liberal England which argued the reasons
behind the decline in the Liberal Party. This accuracy of this analysis is a major battle ground for historians, but
what is equally interesting as the death of the liberal party is it's life. This section of History Empire aims to look
at both, from the mid nineteenth century up to the final decline in the 1920s when the Labour Party formed a government.
